FYI- I've learned that the Bosch pump that is used on the Lightning can be retro-fitted to the Magnacharger system with little modification other than a new mounting bracket.

I was told that this pump is highly reliable and capable of operating "forever" without the need of a Hobbs switch.

My information source is reliable. But I'm wondering if anyone has tried this pump or, does anyone know of any Lightning people who have has intercooler pump problems?

I spoke with John at Magnacharger today. He confirmed that they are going to switch over to the Bosch pump. They are currently working on pricing with Bosch as he said they are rather expensive. However he expects the prices will be significantly lower once the quanity buy discounts are worked out.

Mounting bracket will be/has been redesigned and the hose fittment is the same as the original Jet-Flow. No Hobbs switch required.

 

Is Magnuson going to make this available as an upgrade? Otherwise this would be an opportunity for Crash!
