Cool Video & Audio Of Dyno With 9 LB

Here is the video of my dyno yesterday with the Lightning Club here in Florida. I want to personally thank ****** for this shot. Thanks Rick. It takes about 20 minutes to down load so plan accordingly. Turn the volume up and enjoy the little Eaton and the exhaust making beautiful music together!

hey i like what you've named your truck! That's what my mom named our expedition cause the frist time she saw it she thought it was so big. so now it is properly dubbed "Da Beast"!

Flats,
No flame intended whatsoever, but I have a question. You mentioned "the little Eaton" but it says Magnacharger in your sig. Was it a Freudian slip, or a recent change?
Nice numbers for a 4.6 though, keep up the good work.

Cool

White STX, The Magnacharger uses a little Eaton M 90 blower in their kit. It is 5:00 AM and I woke up in the middle of the night and realized why my dyno numbers with the 9 lb pulley were lower than I had expected, even with the heat and humidity. I have a flip chip with program 1 set up to tow my flats boat. It has a more retarded spark and a little richer F/A. I unhooked my boat on Thursday night after fishing all day, and forgot to flip the chip back to my 1/4 mile program. Da.........So, I get up and go out to the garage just now and sure enough, the dyno was using my trailer tow package. I will get another dyno with the 1/4 package and post the results.

Nodrive55-I will send it to your e-mail

Thumbs up

Man, that truck is beginning to sound like a P-51 Mustang, hehe. Very nice sounding exhaust!! Get back to the dyno and get the non-towing #'s,,,,98

That puff of smoke out of the exhaust on the clip has me worried, what was that?? Seems like it came out just as the guy let off the accelerator.

If you're interested, I made the AVI into a 3.8meg MPEG, the video is a bit softer (@ 2x zoom) but the audio is still high quality.

BTW: that fan doesn't look very adequate for a high end HP test.

Cool

Screamer- That puff of smoke is no big deal. they run it up to fuel cutoff and on my truck that is pretty normal. Some of the Lightnings really smoked! Probably killed mosquitos for miles around. One of the Lightnings last week ,on a 125 shot of Nitrous did 530 RWHP!

Corpsie-Thank you, I would be very interested in your Mpeg. Could you please email it to me? As Far As the fan goes, it seamed to work OK. When this video was shot they did 11 more Lightnings and had no problems and the last Lightning shot some nitrous an put 488 at the wheels. Again, thanks for the mpeg!

Cool

The Truck does sound strong. At the dyno, I was the second truck to run. The first truck was a Lightning that put 420 RWHP. While my truck was being hooked up, I was joking around with the guys and asked them to not laugh when my truck ran. There was about 12 Lightnings there. After the run one of the guys said "Holly ****" what have you got in there?

Crash- I will attach it to an email some time today! I figured you might want it!
