First post on this page. Looking for some info on a rear mount turbo on a 08 5.4. Has anyone done this? How well do these motors react to a little boost? Keep in mind it's a stock motor truck. Built trans with a 3200 stall and a big gear. Let me know or can guide me in the right direction. I'm very motor savy just never played with these complex motors. Thanks a lot!

BUT there's a reason most folks avoid those water suckers

 

I've seen a few turbo F150, there is not much room under the hood so the turbo ends up remote mounted usually under the passenger side seat. You'll find a few videos of it being done, there are no known off the shelf parts that I am aware of, so you'll be doing your own fab.

 

there's less room under the body than in the engine bay
