Question Are you interested in having the option to buy a 3.4L or 4.0L Whipple on your F150?

I'm chatting with a fabricator and Whipple to see how they can make an adapter plate for 5.4 3V so instead of being limited to "small" blowers such as Roush 1.85L or Whipple 2.3L we could directly go with a Whipple 3.4L or 4.0L.

Would you like to have this option of having a larger blower on your truck?

I love options..

But I'm not sure that bigger blower will fit and still tuck under the firewall.. The 2.3 is already a pretty tight fit..

I'm sure a different snout will help, but the blower would probably need to be flipped around and shaft driven backwards like on the 5.0 for belt alignment on the blower pulley..

Just guessing here, I could be wrong..

Saw a guy with a 05 f150 and 4.0l Whipple. Custom firewall and dash work required.

Truck was at a performance shop that I randomly visited. The blower was to deep and to tall for the firewall, they removed the dash to fabricate a different shaped firewall but then they had HVAC box issues as it wouldn't fit (so no a/c) and I believe the dash had to be slightly modified (metal beams behind dash) to work too.

The 3.4 Whipple is physically almost twice the size of the 2.3 if you've ever seen them side by side. 4.0 is a monster. A front facing 3.4 or 4.0 may fit, but I know one with the intake of the blower at the rear of the supercharger 4.0 wont from what I saw and was told.

There was a video on the truck racing a bmw while on a 2.3 Whipple and drag radials. It was single cab short bed, silver with street scene body kit and lightning style exhaust. No idea if they ever finished it.

Kinda surprised they didn't try a body lift to get the 4.0 to fit..

Probably because the guy lowered his truck.

Ah the biggest problem with the bigger Whipple is supplying enough air in and keeping it cool.

Pointless bolting one up using OE inlets and intercooler parts.
