Supercharger adventure continues!!!

All set to drop my truck off Monday and remove the Vortech and swap in the Whipple. Going to be running a 3" pulley and 12 pound of boost...WATCH OUT!!!

Oh and I have a F-150 Vortech kit forsale.

Yea the bottom end is a brand new Ford Racing Block, Cobrajet Crank, Manley forged rods and pistons and everything put together with ARP. Good for 1000 hp or so the engine builder tells me. Should run pretty good!!!!

What boot levels are you shooting for? 12 for now, but with a built lower end, 16 maybe?

Just got email from shop. Still tuning but right now we are at 407whp and 465 wtq. Pushing 10 psi even though it should be 12 but that might be due to ported heads and cams. Fuel pump is getting close to limit so any more boost will require a BAP or new fuel pump setup. We shall see!

Very nice. Thats right in the neighborhood of what I made on Troyers dyno with 9-9.5psi. Think it was 419/469.

I found the throttle body and 3.5" inlet tube to be a source of restriction starting at 11psi and 4500rpm. Just 1" of restriction but that's still enough to reduce boost by 0.5psi.

I wonder if my 35" tires are eating up a lot more power as well.... Truck feels strong regardless. I think I can live with this for quite awhile before I start thirsting for more power!
