Procharged F150/Expo 99-03 Owners LOOK HERE

Guys I desperately need a detailed picture of the 2 Core intercooler mounting setup and location. Trying to finish the install of my truck and frankly its driving me insane. I need a picture to reference how and where exactly it mounts on the Bumper Mounts. Any help is appreciated!!!

If you want it to be in the center of the opening and have the core lines vertical like this you will have to make your own brackets. This is on my dads 97 Expy.

On the bumper, for the passenger side remove the two bolts from the bumper bracket closest to the center of the truck, the ones that attach to the bumper not the frame. Now the triangle piece that came with the kit, should have longer bolts and spacers. Attach the bracket with the single none sliding hole up, and the angle going to the driver side downward. On the driver side only remove the bottom bumper mount bracket bolt closest to the center of the truck, the kit should have a third long bolt and spacer the single hole on the cooler goes here. There should be two shorter bolts to attach the passenger side of the cooler to the procharger bracket. You want the flanges on the intercooler to face the bumper.

agreed

My 1997 xlt is in the same place, although mine is offset to one side
On another note, do I need another intake fuel pump to get the most out of my procharger? I have anotherinline pump to assist, but my mechanic says my intank pump is clapped out, doesnt make sense.

Sorry for highjacking a thread

The two inner-most bumper brackets are where all the 97-03 F-150 ICs mount. The trapezoidal bracket should mount to the PASENGER side, and you should have a tab welded to the driver side IC housing for mounting. Click the link below, look at the FRONTAL view with the IC in place. This is EXACTLY how the manual shows it to be installed, so hope this helps. Just take one elbow at a time and piece it together. Two of the holes on this bracket line up with the bumper mount bolts, and the spacers mount between the bumper and the bracket. Then everything is square from the top view. Then you piece the rest of the hardware together to fit. The schematic included does not account for cooler lines and such, and a LITTLE tweaking is required on the trans lines. The new mounts clear the PS cooler on the 97-03s. It used to be a problem.

www.i-disappear.com/project02.htm

But the pieces will all go together without crimping or collapsing and that is how you know you are on track. They fit. Do NOT allow the tubing to contact the radiator. 1/4" minimum clearance.

Many of us have customized out routing. But 3.5-4" elbows are expensive and hard to get and then need powder coat.

TAKE YOUR TIME and THINK as you test fit these pieces, and you will be fine.

I am back guys.

Call anytime. This is the way to reach me. Talk or text.

Well intercooler is done, bracket & supercharger are on, crank pulley is on, fuel system is done. Piping is 50% complete. Couple of questions.....

Where did you draw vacuum for the bypass valve?

Where did you get boost pressure for boost gauge?

Biggest question, my tuner is in his 2nd shop 2 hours away.....Can I drive this thing if I just leave the sct MAF unplugged? I'll be putting new plugs and 60# injectors in the truck tomorrow morning so any help asap is greatly appreciated

Im not familiar with procharger setups but an engine should not be ran with the MAF unplugged. If it runs at all the computer will have a harder time tying to

Im not familiar with procharger setups but an engine should not be ran with the MAF unplugged. If it runs at all the computer will have a harder time trying to figure out whats happening. Leaving it plugged in it will still be goofy but atleast the computer knows that some air is getting into the motor.

With over sized injectors it will be rich as hell. Good luck driving it. It may run horribly bad or good enough to get you there. 2 hours is a long time to drive untuned with different maf and larger injectors

Call if you are stuck or run into problems. I am happy to help you.
I will be calling you tomorrow to help with finishing up the install, I didn't use the procharger fmu unit, I went with (2) Aeromotive 340 stealths & ran my own wiring & relays. My Boost Gauge is the Auto Meter full electric sweep gauge.
