Hello my name is nick and I recently finished my 99 f150 project truck thanks to the help of the many members of this site. So im on to my next project I have been reading and hearing about superchargers, now i recently come into a twinscrew super charger for my model(just the super charger) for relativly cheap. Im just wondering where my truck should be standing to even debate putting more money into. As it stands its got roughly a hundred an eighty thousand kms on it not sure cuz I replaced it with a second hand engine out of a 97 f150. Anyways I was wondering if the kms were to high to stand the sudden increase in horsepower/ torque? what els will I need to purchase to make this modification?. Also i recently rebuilt my tranny roughly 500km ago I know i will need a shift kit but other than that it should be ok right? thank you for your time-Nick
180K is probably like around 100K miles I think. Which isnt to high of mileage aslong as you get a good tune and dont try to run a ton of boost. Staying between 4-6 maybe even 8PSI would probably be ok. Can you go more in depth about this blower? Are you sure its not a Roots off a lightning? I know you say its a twinscrew is it for a lightning?
http://www.madenterprise.com/scparts.htm is a list of parts you need for a lightning from N/A motor conversion. If your blower is off a lightning then this list will work. Mad Enterprises is a great company and Mike is a very good guy.
