Procharger question

Procharger question

Ok im picking up a procharger for my 2003 4.6 from another member. Ive got 198000 miles on the truck. With the superharger and intercooler on the stock enigine will it run fine wih out blowing if not what other upgrades to i need to do before the blower goes on.

for sure you'll need the BAP and the FMU



but ideally you'll upgrade injectors, MAF and tune, along with a valve body in the transmission...

at 198,000 miles original transmission i would not modify the valve body you likely already have heavy clutch and band wear, increasing the pressure on those clutches and bands will only wear them down quickly and you will have failure.

I've been beating on my 4r70 for years, the transmission still is holding fine and no slipping, but then again it's had a valve body in it since it had about 50k on it

when you modify the valve body with a shift kit you change out the separator plate, and install firmer springs so that the pump has to apply move pressure to open the valves, that increases not only line pressure but the flow. it is simple hydromechanics

Most common gauges in order of importance:

1. Wideband Air/Fuel Ratio

2. Fuel Pressure

3. Boost/Vac
