I need Help!

I was going to do a L swap but a divorce made me get rid of the set up. I WILL get an other in the future. I currently have a 4.6 with a host of mods on the stock injectors. I have read that uping my injectors would help on my bottum end and my WOT. I can get a set of 24 LBS injectors installed for free by a friend (not that its hard or anything) But free none the less. Would what I have read be correct? My bottum end is a bit sluggish and was hoping I was on to something.

You can't just swap in injectors, unless they are the same as stock. There are a number of parameters that have to be changed in the PCM to accommodate them. You don't state what your mods are, but usually mods that improve the top end, diminish returns on the low end. You may need a higher stall converter or lower gears.

90mm Mass air, 75 mm throttle body, polished intake, BBK CAI, BBK headers, 2.5 inch dual exhaust with X-pipe, Granatelli coils and sp432 plugs. SCT Xcal II. I know the computer can adjust up to 10-15% and the Xcal can also adjust a bit. tarajeremie wrote something along the line that it woke up the bottum end and improved the WOT. I have had a lean miss at Idle for a while and thought that with everything done to make her breath better the fuel was left behind.

Do you have a tune that has the correct transfer function for that MAF? If you don't, you have more than a 15% error.

I just picked up a stock MAF and will be getting a new tune from Justin. If you know anyone looking for a Jet 90mm MAF part number 69112. New the price is 292.00 to 389.00. would sell for half price plus shipping.

Instead of spending $300 on fuel injectors for bottom end I would spend that on a MadEnterpise Efan and controller. I have one on my truck and it made a big difference off idle. Injectors could add more torque and with what you did to the truck you may need some slightly bigger ones to accomidate the extra air into the truck but I kinda doubt it. I think a good custom tune and Efan would really wake the truck up.

Injectors would be a total wast of money for your setup!
The shorty headers a Granitelly COPs aren't doing much for you ether. ):

I had 2 bad COP's so I replaced them all and kept the good ones for back-up. The granatelli's were fare cheaper than O.E.'s. The headers have been on for almost 10 years and made an improvement. The new exhaust seems to pep it up too. I was told by Justin at VMP to get a stock MAF and he will write me up a new tune. About 4 years ago I hula hooped my drive line and snapped the tail housing off. Lost a boat load of fluid and May have added alot of wear on the torque converter trying to limp it off the freeway. That would also answer why my off the line isn't stellar. Tune first then if needed converter. anyone else agree??
