Stock thermostat?

I think I might just give him a call! I'm not too sure if I want to screw around with changing thermostats a couple times a year, not that it's that much work.....The heat in my truck is UNGODLY hot after just a few minutes of driving even in this -2* weather.

I'll have to look into get a Gates belt and maybe just keeping the one on the truck now as a spare.

I'm north of you and run a 180. The Whipple kit came with a 160 and that really sucked in the winter. The temp gauge would only get to the 1/4 mark and you could tell the heat output wasn't as good as the 190 stock thermostat. It seemed to always have to be on defrost with the fan cranked up or it would frost up. I don't about the 170 but 160 is bad and 180 is good for me so 170 should be ok for you.

Yeah the 160 was way to low. With the 160 my temps would just make it to 156. NO HEAT!! It sucked. But the 170 is just right and I cruise with temps right around 182 and after a 1/4 mile romp I see 186.
