L swap tuning question

hey guys I have a question...I am getting my parts together for my 5.4 L swap. I plan on using the stock NA harness (extending the wires) and NA ECU. I have a Diablo Predator tuner, but it is for a lightning. Can I use this tuner with the NA ECU, or do I have to buy a tuner specifically designed for the NA ECU, such as a Xcal made for the NA 5.4?

you'll need a custom tune from a reputable tuner, and a Ford motor

And an email tune will work if there's no reputable tuner near you

Just me thinking out load. The tuner may work but your tuner may need to physicaly touch it. Would not think you could use a tuner for an L with just a mail order tune. L had different logic and tuners tend to be set up initially for the exact ECM code. Tuner may also be locked (this is how Scal's are). I had an Xcal for my NA then had mail order tune added, no problem. Went to local tuner and he had to unlock which means reimage. The tuner needs to know how to speak to your computer, not the L's computer. Maybe the Predator is diffrenet. In any case talk to a reputable tuner. But then I'm not an expert and only speaking from my experience!!!!
