01 F150 Screw ATI P1SC

Howdy everyone, New here and just bought my first F150. It's an 01 with an ATI Procharger P1SC and the 4.6, 3/4 drop, 20s, Westin Street tubes and an SCT 4 position flip chip.
Shes running on 6 at the moment, but i just pulled her out of storage and shes going to get a forged bottom end.

I know this thread is useless without pics so here they are, although i apologize in advance about the horrible focus:

oh the upgrades that setup needs

Mouce 10-15-2011 11:29 PM

Yeah, it has been sitting in storage since '05
I plan on upgrading the maf, injectors, air filter, it has a bbk throttle body on it, it has gibson shorty headers, its getting a forged bottom end, a proper fuel pump instead of the system that is on it now. there are alot of other little odds and ends that it needs as well, hope to have it finished up in the next few weeks.

ditch that POS ATI inlet duct and put a real one on it while you're at it

overall I like the truck and it makes me miss my ATI setup

What is so objectionable to the ATI inlet duct? It looks 3 1/2" diameter except for the stock necked down mass air and the open air filter element.

It's very restrictive

cobramarty 10-16-2011 01:08 PM

That's a very general statement. Which part is restrictive? Have you done any flow tests one way or another? What is a better/less restrictive intake tract? Teach me.

As an update i just got it back out of the shop,

Manley rods, wiseco pistons, lightning maf, new filter, comp blower cams, upgraded springs and retainers, 3 angle valve job, pi head swap, 47# injectors, circle d torque convertor and rebuilt/upgraded 4r70w
and of course dyno tuned

I apologize if the image below is overly large and of shoddy quality, i need to hookup and install drivers for my scanner.

Numbers were 328.5hp@5700 and 324.36tq@5100

how did you do a pi head swap on a engine with pi heads already?

Mouce 01-24-2012 12:27 AM

The shop I took it to told me when they got the heads off they were not PI heads, so some were located and swapped.

Congrats!! Now crank up the boost and take advantage of the stronger drivetrain.

Faster150 01-24-2012 11:06 PM

is that 328hp n/a from the motor?

Mouce 01-25-2012 02:01 PM

It sure is not, and it's begging for more boost.

I'm currently trying to choose between a new pulley(size, etc) or if i want to go ahead and upgrade to the d1, since i'm sure its going to happen anyway. I have a lower pulley that was supposed to increase boost, however i was told that it was out of round.
