Cool Magnacharger Mod

For those of you with the magnacharger and the Hobbs intercooler boost switch, here is the latest. I went to Pep Boys and bought a green led lite and installed it in my pillar pod next to the boost switch and hooked it up to activate when the intercooler pump is running. If the Hobbs switch is activated by positive boost then the lite comes on or if at the track I have a switch that manually turns the intercooler on all the time. This way you know the pump is kicking on and it looks cool inside your truck. I did the same with the Crown Vic electric fan mod. When the truck reaches 185 degrees, the fan automatically turns on which puts on a blue lite located by the trans temp gauge. and when at the track, I can manually select the fan to run which keeps the blue lite on steady. In the auto mode, when the truck starts moving again the fan will shut down turning off the light. Just some more ideas. Here is a picture of the set up.

Hey Flatsman, That's a real neat install. Did you have the pod painted? If so than what did you use for paint. I just bought a triple pod. ( tranny temp, Boost & air fuel) I'm going to 8 LBS and need to monitor the air/fuel. I had to order a 97 pillar because my handle holes showed.

Evo, I got the paint at auto zone and it is for changing interior colors. I Have to repaint the pod because it got a little banged up on the install.

Neal, Just when you think you come up with something cool, you find out someone has already done it. That is one of the great things about this board though. Maybe this will inspire some more thinking and even more mods to come.

Bubba, you are right on with gaugepods.com (aka Lo-Tek Engineering). The quality is FAR superior to Autometer, the color is molded in, and it's a replacement, not a tack on! Lyle makes some nice stuff, and in fact he is busy doing a custom mold for me as we speak. I've had mine in my truck since the first batch was released, I am very pleased!!
