IAT/ACT sensor question for 5.4L 3V
I'm not sure why you'd want to relocate the IAT after the blower, but Roush mounts the ACT after the blower in the lower manifold. I'd be surprised if Whipple and Saleen don't do the same thing.
Relocating the IAT is one of the things on my list to do. I planned on doing it before installing the Whipple so I drilled and tapped a couple holes in the intake ports and just installed plugs in them for now. I'm not sure why Whipple left the IAT before the supercharger.
IRONSIN I haven't checked out VMP yet but do they have a kit or is it something that you have talked to them about?

Saleen cuts the two wires (IAT portion) from the MAF connector and splices them to the TMAP sensor located on top of the blower; and also splices the TMAP into the fuel pressure sensor. This completes the system. The blower TMAP along with another TMAP sensor inside the truck also drives the electric IAT & Boost gauges.

Thanks IRONSIN. Just another thing you got me to spend money on. First the Krankvents, now this. What else do you think I should do. Appreciate the help.

If you look at the bottom picture " On 05+ the gray wires pin 1 and pin 2 are for the IAT sensor, cut them and solder in the IAT sensor harness. "
I would put it into cylinder 5 intake runner as its closets to the MAF.

Well I got my IAT sensor relocated to the intake runner and out of the MAF sensor. I didn't monitor the actual IAT from the MAF before I did this to compare numbers, sorry. Comparing the relocated IAT to the OAT on short trips of 10 miles or less in an average of 80 degrees the IAT is usually from 20-30 degrees warmer after the engine gets warmed up. My engine was a little on the rich side and relocating the IAT has helped a little bit but I think it could be leaned out a little more on my part throttle settings. I have to do some data logging on the xcal.
