04 Whipple kit ?
04 Whipple kit ?
i started looking around at some different charger kits and dont understand what the difference is for a 2004 5.4 F150 screw vs a 2005/2006 F150 kit,, are they different motors between 04 and 05 ? just wondering what the differences are? mine is a 2004 ,, also any issues putting this on a 4x4?
05-07 have a fuel rail psi sensor relocation adaptor & a slightly different fuse box relocation bracket.
4x4 isn't an issue, but some have concerns about the xfer case holding up. Never read about one breaking under the load in my research though.
Make sure to validate your parts list. I'm missing a hose that placed my install on hold until i get a replacement. Thankfully i caught it before i started the install

I have a Whipple on my 04 4X4 and the install is the same as a 2 wheel drive. I wouldn't worry about the transfer case, I'm pretty sure the t-case will handle the power better than the transmission. If you get a Whipple there is a wealth of knowledge around here for questions and ideas. Someone is always trying something different and letting others know how it works. If you get a Whipple you should upgrade to bigger injectors right off the bat. I tried mine with stock and it was great to about half throttle, after that it was BAD LEAN with the winter temps. Most people do 39# Cobra injectors. Buy one, install, smile and get new tires.
