Magna Charger "Seating" problems?
Hello, all.
Just wanted to update.
It is Tuesday June 19th and still no install?
Called today and was told that they are still having problems with the Magna charger seating properly. ie..the problem has not been resolved.
I curiously asked service tech, what she thought the problem might be. It was obvious to her and her installers that the problem lies with M/C. I then asked if perhaps it could be a problem with FORD's specs not being so tight, to which I got a logical response, thats why is M/C has sent and replaced from 3-5 units. "Why would they do so if there wasn't a M/C problem.
Perhaps just good service I responded..."perhaps"
Here's the ONLY reason I bring this up.
What if someone like ME, or another F-150 owner decided to install one of these units themselves?? they are bolt on, and should just bolt on.
But then run into the problems that Ford is having. Would M/C be so quick to replace 1 maybe 2-3 units??
Any way, The new ( I hope they are new) unit comes in sometime Wed, the 20th. won't be installed till Thursday. (The same day that I have to leave town for a long weekend)
So won't be back till Monday!
will keep you posted!
LATE.....
