04-08 Roush Supercharger VACUUM routing **HELP PLEASE**

Hey every one, My supercharger and truck are running kind of funny. I have been talking with John over at Stage3 and he has been nothing but helpful. But I just can't seem to get my vacuum lines correct. Can any one here post pics of the lines and just close up of parts of the engine bay please. I just have 0 references to go off of to be sure every thing is correct. I have an 08' 5.4 with intercooler. Thank you in advance for any help!

Here is a link to the installation instructions. You might want to download them for future reference. The vacuum unit sensitivity is controlled by the PCM. It can be made to come into boost sooner, than what Roush calibrates, with a tune.

Thanks for the response. It was late last night and I was super frustrated haha. I actually have already gone over that but I forgot to add to the title that I wanted to see it with the Vacuum harness update. Basically where you bypass the a couple of the components. I have read about it a few times and think I understand how to do it but I would prefer to see it before doing it. Thanks for your help!

In other words, you want to bypass the solenoid. Note where you would have to connect the vacuum port to bypass the solenoid in the pic below (red arrow).

Oops! there it goes! I thought thats what it was but I just wanted to double check. Also, do you just leave the harness plugged in? Thanks!

I reposted that pic and it's showing the original, but I deleted it. Not sure what that's about. Maybe it needs to refresh because that pic no longer exists. Anyway, route the vacuum line before the one-way valve directly to the by-pass valve and don't include the vacuum storage unit.

Are you sure the bypass is adjusted properly? If it's not snapping shut when you move the valve by hand (engine off), you may need to adjust it.

Just checked the spring back and it seems to be ok. I am going to drive it again in the AM and see how it acts. Weird thing is my brakes are super soft also. Seems like a vacuum issue but all of the lines seem to be in order and I can not hear a leak at all.

Just put more fuel in the truck and it acted completely fine on the 1 mile trip home from the gas station. Maybe "10 miles until empty" just is not enough fuel for my tank to get on it? Only have been driving the truck for about 200 miles since the entire truck build so I am still working out the kinks that come with a project this large. I am doing a large road trip with the truck this week and don't to want to have any problems. Keep you guys updated if any thing changes. Thanks for all of the help this far!

You stand a good chance of blowing your engine with something less than a 1/4 tank of gas. These supercharged trucks can starve the fuel pump on acceleration under these conditions.

That's good to know! Thank you! I rarely let it get that low but now I will never do it again! Thanks again!

Both the intercooled and non-intercooled manuals are attached.
