I have a 2008 AWD Ford Screw Limited Edition and cost aside, what is the best Supercharger out there?

The most potential for power after upgrades I don't think you can touch the whipple.

Edelbrock and Saleen are in a close second.

This is of course if you exclude centri blower(procharger and vortech) which have their own strengths.

Best for what? Out of the box power? After market power ability? easiest on drivetrain?

I have a whipple and love it. I can easily keep it with a built motor and have it go 20psi if I want.

I would say get either the Roush or Ford charger through the dealer if warranty is something you would like to have. It saved me a $500 repair already. Just my 2 cents

Roush is not the ultimate blower... It's good for a mostly stock truck, but it is very limited by it's design when it comes to max potential.

There is a reason all the lighting guys swapped out there Heaton's for twin screw blowers.

If you are a newbie like me, the one that you can find a local tuner with experience tuning it in trucks.

As far as the way it actually compresses the air centrifugal and/or twin-screw compressors show clear advantages over a roots blower...

I've got a Whipple, I wish I could afford another truck to put a Procharger on it...

Oh and when I installed mine, my engine/drivetrain warranty went bye-bye. Just something to consider.

Btw, JDM up in Jersey put the Whipples on sale for Thanksgiving for $3000. Call em and tell them you want one for that price. Can't beat it.

Thanks, Money and voiding my warranty is not a problem for me, my warranty is coming up soon anyways. I just want the best of the best. Pure power and ***. I think whipple is it. Probably will go with the Polished.

I have never understood the warranty argument... If it breaks now under warranty, or later out of warranty, you are still going to hopefully replace with an upgrade...

I honestly wish we could vouch out of warranty for a cheaper cost of the vehicle.

^^^Amen to that. I say if you're worried about warranty you need to leave the truck in its neutered form lol. But seriously as was pointed out. If it breaks its needs to be upgraded or its gonna break again. For example, you puke a tranny after the blowers installed and you have this coveted warranty. You're gonna get another weak stock tranny that is gonna die again later.

Whatever person you talk to is going to tell you that's the best. I have a saleen and I think it is the best. Do your research and pick the one that's best for your application. You can't go wrong with any choice you make. You're really going to love the power. Watch out, it addicting. You just want more and more once you start. It gets expensive quick. Good luck.

JDM will answer your questions and has a killer price on the Ford/Whipple. FedEx tracking number says tomorrow is my lucky day.

If you are planning upgrades, JDM can help with email tune (to get you going), fuel system, etc.
