Unfortunately I don't remember how big the crank pulley was that I had clearance problems with. I sure wish I would have measured it before my buddy took it off my hands. I was wondering if a 2003 4.6 mustang pulley is the same size as a stock 4.6 F150? I would like to get a pulley that is 7 1/4 inches or so if it would fit. I had a mechanic putting a new motor in my truck and all he said is that my new crank pulley hit the timing cover and wouldn't fit and I didn't question him too much. I was just getting into adding the mods then and was somewhat clueless to be honest with you.

How big is the 4.6 pullley? If its smaller then the stock 5.4, then try the 5.4 pulley first and see if that gives clearance issues. Also how big was your pulley you had on there before with clearance issues if you know?

Ok, anyone who read my past post on my supercharger knows I was not happy with it. I am doing the necissary mods over the winter to get it where I wan't it. I am going for 12 psi (It puts out 9 now in stock trim). I would rather do a crank pully instead of the blower pully so I can keep the procharger warrnanty. Who makes a crank pully to replace the piggy back one I got from procharger with the kit?

I'm going to put my truck up on my ramps and see what the diameter is on my 4.6 crank pulley. I will measure it and should be able to look around the crank area and see how much room I have to play with. Did you ever find a crank pulley bidjohnson?

I got the name of a couple of places that custom make them, but for the price ($400+)I will just buy the smaller procharger one and say screw the warranty.

I looked up on rock auto for your year w/ the 4.6L engine , looks to be around 6.78" or so, and the same year with the 5.4l was around 7".

I'm thinking a 7.25 or .3 would do it for me. Should allow me use the stock Whipple pulley and maintain 10psi so I woukd have less belt slip.

Those of you who went with the lower metco, how many psi did you pickup using the same blower pulley? 3 psi? 4psi? (did you have to throw a GT pump in your tank with this setup?)

Does the metco fit with the stock water pump pulley?
