New supporting mods for my Supercharged F-150

Had to make it supercharger related

Called Darrin Burch at BC Automotive and got this nice little package in the mail.

Purchased a custom valve body kit, to which I informed him I want it to bark the tires just idling along.

I also purchased the tail shaft lube mod kit. I typically go well over 120mph so I felt this modification was needed.

To help with the cooling I purchased a deep sump aluminum pan. Also for it just looking cool.

Further talking with him we decided it would be best I installed the Spiral lock kit since I'm pushing, and will once I put my built engine in, 6000rpm and over.

Hope to do the install this weekend.

nice what does a spiral lock do? and im assuming the tail shaft lube mod kit routes trans fluid to the tail shaft to keep it cool? pretty soon you'll need a cage in the truck lol keep up the good work

The Spiral Lock(the black circle in the bottom left of the pictures) replaces the factory lock which is known to start working it's way loose after repeated 6000rpm uses. I really don't need it right now, and it requires the transmission to be pulled to install. I shift at 5500-5600, and RARELY pull to 6000rpm. I'll be installing that when I put my new engine in as I plan to be taking it to 7000rpm+

As for the tail shaft lube mod, the 4R70/4R75 transmissions has a "flaw" with eating up the bushings in the extension/tail housing. Especially when running 4.10 and higher gears(with factory size or smaller tires), and high speed driving. It is my understanding that the lubrication technique function in the tailshaft housing is more of a "splash" instead of fed oil. This mod comes in and feeds oil to the back of the tail shaft, keeping the bearings lubricated and cooled.

What really motivated for me to do this is the 1-2 shift wasn't quit shifting quick/hard enough. I want it to bark my slicks while going down a sticky track, while right now with my slicks I noticed it wasn't shifting fast enough and in a round about way slipping.

If the pressures are increased in the tune, then it probably would need to be toned down. But some like a harsh shift. I believe anything that came with your Trans-Go kit will be replaced with the valve body.

I was told the pressure doesn't have to be toned down if I liked where it's at.

You would replace your trans go setup with this entire valve body.

Are you not happy with your trans-go setup?

If you're only going to put the one spring in the 1-2 accumulator, that shift at light throttle and slow speeds can be a bit harsh. You just won't get a good, firm WOT 1-2 shift if you install both springs. It just depends on how aggressive your tuner got with transmission functions. But yeah, it can't hurt anything and to each his own on the amount of shift firmness you desire.
