At this point in time everything is just a guessing game which will just coast me more money in the long run.

I prefer to take the engine apart and start from scratch, pay whatever it costs but at the end I know that my engine won't go out on me while attempting to climb a tough to get hill.

You'll just end up buying another engine if it's the cooling system that's at fault. If you want to build a better engine, that's you, but find the root problem first.

Agreed with the above. Figure out what the problem is before throwing thousands of dollars at this, possibly to blow the new engine too.

I think I prefer to re-build the stock engine better and stronger.

I think hundreds of dollars are being spent now just trying to find the problem. If my truck was a street queen and I was having this very same problem, then I would continue spending the money in an attempt to find the root of the problem.

But as I said b4, I know how much I've abused my truck and the engine, in its entirety, definitely needs a serious TLC.

Remove the grill and let the air flow to the radiator.

Just make sure if you reuse your heads you have them checked out.... If you have over heated that engine several time I'm betting money those heads are warped..

Thanks

Yep +1 - leaking head gasket or cracked or something in a head.

Just a foot note while we are on the subject of cooling. I re-installed the oem single pass radiator in my truck after the two pass died from electrolysis and the single pass works just as well as the two pass with efans.

OKAY, all done!!!

Just approved this:

Engine Building - Blueprinting - Removal & Installation
Custom Blueprinted Engine
We can profile your individual desires, select components that will maximize your goals, then Bob Frontino will meticulously blueprint your engine in our engine building department, and your custom engine is ready to run. We will test and prove your new engine before it leaves our facility. We can also carefully install this custom engine into your vehicle and tune it to perfection using our in ground chassis-dyno.

not to sound like a ****, but are you rebuilding it to be stock configuration again?

Do you have any plans to go forged? increase boost and take advantage of a rebuild?

Nope; the stock engine will be taken completely apart then reassembled with upgradeable components.

I'll post a list of what and how it was done.
