True the saleen is a different design from my whipple. However, on a set up like yours running 10* of timing I cant see how it couldnt make more power with more timing.

With a progressive kit injecting only under boost I would think that the meth/water wouldnt be in the intake long enough (especially if you get a quality kit that makes a good atomized mist) to make condensation. I know of some whipple'd Lightnings, Roots blown Cobalts, and a few other cars running meth with good gains but again saleen is a different setup.

When Justin from VMP Tuning had me on his dyno my truck did not like a lot of timing even with my reduced compression, it made power but it was starting to detonate so he backed the timing down. Meth injection proably would of helped there for me.

I might have to look into that radiator conversion my self for my truck.

Thats what exactly why you get meth injection. It stops detonation by lowering IAT by 50-160* and Cylinder temps between 250-500*. Which is why you can up the timing and or boost.

Yeah it's the long intake runners of the Saleen setup that worries me. If I had a eaton/whipple setup I would already be doing water/meth.

I'll just start spraying nitrous when I get my new engine built....

A small 200 shot on a direct port system should do it.

You just need to spray your engine.... 100-150 pill.

Yea direct port injection would be very easy to set up just pull the intake off and drill holes. When do you plan to do a motor build?

I'm talking with a few tuners and engine builders now...

I already have a 06 5.4L long block... Trying to decide who I want to send my heads off to, who i'm going to get to custom grind me a set of cams, and exactly what internals I need....

I want to be able to wind up to 6500-7000rpm, handle 20+psi of boost and a solid 150-200 pill.

Shooting for 600-700rwhp on pump gas blower only, then spray on top of that.

That would hauls some *** for sure! I have no idea what sort of trans will hold up to that

Ive always had good luck with Keith Black pistons and eagle internals. Of course you need a GOOD machine shop with people who know what they are doing.

Yeah trans is where I'm stuck... Still trying to figure that one out.

Machine shops is what I'm scouting out right now also.. I'll assemble the motor, but I want to talk to people that have built "wild" mod motors to hopefully get some tips and tricks.

I know you already do, but I'll say it anyway, you must have one hell of a garage!

Do you custom cut the rings and all that too? I know a few guys in arizona that build some pretty badass motors but Texas is a bit of a drive lol. Plus itd be a more you bring the parts and they make sure it all stays together with 700RWHP with all their tricks.

20psi outta easily get you 700rwhp.

talk to this guy about cams http://mrnormsgarage.com/about.html i don't know about 3v mod motors but he has done quite a few 2v blower cams. you'll have to call him the website just has mopar crap on it. only problem you may have is he is in chicago.

And it is full of $***.... I forget what all I have in there sometimes. I had a guy call last weekend and asked if I still had some wheels and tires..and sure enough on the 2nd story storage area I still had them.. had to be at least 5 years old lol.

But yeah, except for a few big machines, my father and I have a pretty extensive tool base in our shop... Which really that's only because our shop isn't big enough to have them... I'm looking to buy land and build a bigger shop so I can have a full machine shop and dyno just for personal use.

Yeah I do pretty much everything except bore/hone the block and balance the internals. I have access to do most head work except a good cnc machine, which is why I'm sending my heads off. Normally I home port my heads, but i'm no master at it at all.

Ive done quiet a bit of porting and machine work too. I am by no means a master neither. I've done some balancing with the help of the machine shop owner making sure I don't screw up. For the most part however its mainly just time consuming. Well once you get going I look forward to following your build!

Try this guy.. he also builds stoker 6.2L engines. also when you have the heads worked on see if they can convert the plugs to the new style long thread.

Yeah I have been meaning to call him up...

Right now I'm gearing to stay stock cubed and wind it up to 7000rpm(if the heads/cam package can flow it)

Looking at Manley H-beam rods, Manley Forged pistons at 9.5:1 compression, and a FRPP forged crank....

GT-500 guys are winding that setup to 7500rpm and 1000+rwhp so it should be good enough for me.
