Old school Haulpack Mining truck twin roots blowers
I found this in my new employer’s fleet. It’s an old wabco haul pack water truck. I think it’s a 12-71 series engine a 2 stroke Detroit diesel. It’s a v8 with twin roots blowers.
Sorry for the crappy pics but I snapped them with me cell.
I’ve never seen any thing like this when I worked underground but now that I'm at a surface mine it’s a new game all together.
The engine sounds real cool when you rev it up and let off it from in the cab it makes a cool sound from the 2 blowers.
My favorite though is the fleet of Cat 990 loaders with the big as twin turbo set up. There real nasty sounding when spooled up all the way.
