belts for magnuson

Anyone know where to get the serpentine belt other than magnuson? I need one or two but don't like to wait a week for it to be shipped from magnuson. I have gone to just about every box store around and nothing even close to the size we need (6 rib 126.5). I just destroyed my last belt when I swapped out my alternator.
Thanks

no one sells then that length except gates, Gates makes the belt directly for that kit.

That's what I thought Anita Troyer told me last year, but couldn't remember where I got that info from, until I read some old emails. I got two on order now from magnuson, they are like 25 a pop right now, those with magnusons on their trucks might want to stock up on em as I was talking to one of their sales people yesterday and they no longer make the supercharger for our trucks and parts for ours are becoming scarce.

no problemo, I didn't think that at all.

I just can't figure out how I ate it up when I swapped out the alternator. I made sure everything was lined up and squared away before starting the motor. I turn the key and after a few seconds here squeals and slapping sounds, I am just glad that it was the belt that was tore up and not something else. I did notice that since I put the original oem belt on bypassing the supercharger and running with the stock tune that I have a low almost faint knock now, sounds like inside the block, didn't hear that with the blower running.

I am waiting on my custom upper pulley so I can complete my 8 rib conversion, then the belts are a plenty, can get one locally then, it will use the same as the HD F250 6.0l and some of the dodge trucks as well.

no gatorback in our size unless you swap out the pulleys from 6 to 8 rib which I have done except for the magnuson pulley (custom made) which I think fedex may have tried to deliver today but I missed em, will find out tomorrow...

Well I got my belts in, finally had time to put one on and just like the movie ...it was gone in 60 seconds, actually less than that but that belt was shredded. I think its the darn alternator I just replaced a few weeks back, its the only thing that was swapped out recently that could be killing my belts. I put another one on and started the engine and watched it ride right up into the alternator and start shredding, shut the engine off, the belt is still usable but a bit fuzzy on one side. I am curious if anyone with the maggie setup that has replaced their alternator has had any alignment issues? I am taking the alt. back tomorrow to the zone and see if they will do an exchange.

batn68, replaced my alternator a couple of months ago with a Motorcraft one (boy are they proud of those) anyway that thing chewed up a belt on me too, I had to pull the pulley off the alternator and made a spacer to bring the pulley out about 1/8" and haven't had any problems since. Is yours riding on the outside lip of the pulley or going in towards the alternator?

It's riding on the inside and jumping up on the housing of the alternator where it gets shredded up pretty quick. I went to autozone and they let me do an exchange but it is still doing it. I am thinking its the upper pulley on the jackshaft being set back too far, as I have had that off a couple times and not too sure on how far back it was suppose to go back on. I am going to try to pull the jackshaft pulley out a bit further and see what happens, but that will be another week or so as I am in the gulf of Mexico fishing and not worrying about the truck or anything else at the moment...
