What faster is pointing out is that the IAC is kept open at WOT so that any sudden deceleration of the engine doesn't cause a stall. So in theory with the valve open it leaks boosted air from the TB elbow back around the blower and into the incoming air in the inlet tubing just behind the MAF. It actually acts like a miniature by-pass valve. I would never have thought of that.

if the line that feeds the IAC isnt on the boost pipe you will loose a few psi of boost. and adds to tuning head aches, wondering why the a/f is being erratic. i had a bung welded on the pipe a foot before the throttle body and then just used some small hose clamps, couple small pieces of heater hose and a 90 degree elbow and it gained 1psi.
