FUEL PUMP Recomedations Please

Getting ready to add a 3.125 pulley for 10lbs of boost. Also adding headers, hiflow cats, & ypipe all from DYNATECH. I realize with the headers I probably won't see 10lbs of boost. However I am concerned about weather or not my stock fuel pump can keep up. What fuel pumps do you folks recommend and from where can they be purchased?

Boost a pump
Troyer as a triple pump hat....very expensive! I'm trying to get pictures of it and see If I can recreate much cheaper...
GT-500 dual fuel pump setup you can buy from ford racing apparently drops right in..

Stock fuel lines are good for around 500rwhp.

I have heard it has to be modified some, and some say it drops right in.... To me it looks like you would need to combine the stock and gt500 setup to make it work.

I've also heard you can just buy the gt500 dual fuel pump assembly and not the extra harness and driver. Then just get a modified driver by Zone 5 Performance and use that.

You didn't say what power range you were looking for, but would think single 255 would go a long way with 10lbs. Not sure where the break point is. Factory L's run dual 155ks but I believe second one only kicks in at the higher boost levels.

Well right now I'm at 427hp to the wheels. All I've ever read is that this is about the limit of the stock pump. With more boost and and better exhaust these numbers will be heading North. I just wanna make sure I've got everything right before I drive 340miles to Troyer Performance for tuning. It would suck to get there and the pump be holding me back.

The ford gt pump is a 310lph.... that is what you want to upgrade too.

That is what I'm running, 310lph pump and a boost a pump.

Your injectors will be getting near their limit also. You need to looking into investing into some 50-60# injectors.

It might just be possible to getting that fuel pump driver module from zone 5 and just fastening an extra pump to your existing setup with some metal clamps and Y'ing into your output... Basically a ghetto rigged setup but would work just the same...

I use a GT fuel pump as well, and it was about $190 here.

was it a direct drop in or did it need to be modified? it looks to me the unit is shorter and wouldnt reach the bottom of the tank. What about the fuel gauge is it as accurate? Are you also using the Driver module and harness? as posted above? It would be nice to get some answers on these things I think alot of people are looking into this.

He is talking about the pump itself, not the assembly.

You can put in a 310lph GT fuel pump in our existing assembly. Which will help SOME but IMO not for guys shooting for past 450rwhp. My pump was at it's limit on my setup, and I had to add a boost a pump and now it works great.

You can use the 310lph pump with our factory module. You will only need to get the modified module IF you run dual fuel pumps on your own setup.

The GT-500 setup uses an extra wiring harness AND an additional fuel pump module to run the 2'nd pump. Which is why you see both the module, harness, and pump in the picture...

Troyer has a 3 pump billet hat setup... I'm not sure entirely how he is running that, maybe he is running 3 factory modules?
