I don't see what the big deal is. Don't get me wrong its a nice setup but the power is the same as a Whipple 8psi and with the Whipple you get the boost sooner. Just my 2 cents. I damn sure wouldn't spend $6,000 on what I could get for under $4,500.

You wont get it much sooner then at all with this kit. This setup is actually much more efficient then the Whipple kit with the longer runners, air inlet placement, etc. Equally tuned/boost pressure the edelbrock should come out ahead through the entire power band.

Now for me to argue that it's worth the extra $1500+...well....

Edelbrock though? Granted I haven't been in the forced induction game for a long time but I didn't think Edelbrock was in the top tier of companies that made these things. That is unless other companies are using Edlebrock internals which I don't imagine they are.

It's basically an eaton TVS type blower with an Edelbrock intake manifold. It is for the most part the same design as the saleen blower except the saleen was based off the whipple 2.3(Lysholm twin-screw).

To add to that, the Eaton tvs blower is more efficient then the Whipple(lysholm) twin screw anywhere from 2-8% until about 16psi when the twin screw takes over. Now the autorotor(older kenne bells) are about on the same level's as the lyshom blower. I'm not sure about the new KB's

So basically, for our trucks, the Edelbrock blower shows the most potential on an 04-10+ stock shortblock 5.4's.

Sounds like the same brand (TVS) used in the Vette ZR1's or is it more like the Tundra kit they sell?

Troyer has been installing Roush's on 2009's for several months now. But unless they have changed something since I was there in November, it has to be done at his shop as he does not have the kits put together yet to ship.

yeah I talked to Mike last week since my Cobra is up there and that 09 he's been working on is taking up my his time! He basically had to out source some parts to be fabricated such as brackets and what not. Says he doesn't have a kit yet because of the out sourcing but when he does the kit will cost a nice little chunk of change but at least you know it's perfect and already tested.

In fairness, Edelbrock also adds a throttlebody and injecters for the extra $1500.

Still not worth the $1500 extra, but let's see street prices going forward.

Whats up with the Cobra?
He did my '03 back before he bought the one he now has and got the fever real bad.
4 # lower,AF1 intake, ET streets, MF mufflers in stock system, his tune , stock rear end with 3:55's and it ran a best of 11.22 @ 122..that was on a mail order tune before he got the dyno. Mike can make the little snakes run..

Ford Motorsports Injectors can be had for $250.00 and I seriously doubt theres a throttle body worth $1250. lol It will be intresting to see what kind of results people get with this blower.
