It can be mounted pre-fpdm. This way the the pcm has 100% control over the voltage being sent to the pumps. If you install it between the fpdm and pumps you are altering the voltage the pcm has commanded the fpdm to send to the pumps, via the voltage control **** supplied with your BAP. Mine is wired exactly as I have it shown and I have 17v reading at the fpdm. Maybe you had the wrong wire??

How much do you gain from a BAP? I was thinking of adding one as I dont intend to purchase a dual fuel pump setup. I hope to go 11PSI or so coming up and want to be sure I have enough fuel pump.

You are going to need it! I'm right at 11-12 psi right now and am maxed out. I'm at 100% duty cycle and you can see the pressure drop when graphed. I'm still at 11.1-11.4 AF, but if I pull too long it will start to lean. I'll be putting in a BAP very soon. I just keep an eye on the wideband at the moment.

Yea I'm on a 3.125 pulley right now which is about 9.5PSI and plan to go to a 3" Pulley. So if going from stock 3.375 to 3.125 was 1.5PSI I think dropping another .125 will be about 10.5 PSI or so but I'm not exactly sure. Eitherway I think I will do a boost a pump. I dont see A/F lean out right now infact I'm overly rich but I think its due to plugs. I do see fuel rail pressure drop though but A/F stays in the green though.

You guys may also want to look into a ford gt fuel pump, I installed one around the same time as the BAP. I believe the pump runs about 255 lph, they can be found for a hundred dollars or so on ebay.

Is it direct R&R? I thought there was no "simple" fuel pump swaps. I know there's no simple dual swaps, but no sure about just replacing the pump.

This talk of gt pumps.. let me tell you, I bought one of those 340lph Division x Stryker fuel pumps and installed it in place of the stock one just to see how it compared. On the datalog they both hit 100% duty cycle at the same time, and rail pressure began to drop at nearly the same rpm as well. So our stock pump flow characteristics has to be practically identical to the 340lph Stryker pump. That said, I don't see the 310lph gt pumps being an upgrade from our stocker.

That is good info. I think thats why the ford GT, mustang gt500 etc all use double pumps. I have yet to see a confirmed LPH rating on our stock pump but that Stryker pump info is good enough for me

I believe I still have the datalogs saved too, not positive though. But if I remember right the stock pump actually out did the 340lph stryker by just a hair. If you go to Lethals website they show the flow vs pressure ratings. I imagine our stocker has minimally larger flow values at the higher pressures.
