You shouldn't need to do anything. You'll have to have a custom program for your PCM to get it to work withe the larger injectors and MAF, but none of that effects the transfer case.

And you should already have the better transmission, ie the 4R100 which came with the Lightning.

Yes it will work with the proper computer tuning.
Your T case should be fine but you should beef up your tranny for the extra power. Most people at least add a performance valve body to the trans.
Unless you have a 7700 series F-150 which came with a 4r100.You will have the little 4r70w like I did. And it needs all the help it can get when you start putting some good power to it.

Thanks Phil! Can you reccomend a good valve body to use and would it result in too firm of a shift? My truck is my daily driver.

For the 4r70w it is called a(valve body plat kit).
It will firm up the shifts but that is part of how it helps the tranny.
Quicker firmer shifts produce less friction and heat then the slow sloppy shifts that are common with the factory set up. Less heat = longer life of the trans.
There is information on this site on how you can change the springs around or something like that in order to adjust the shift firmness so it's not uncomfortable for DDs.
Mike sells one for 100 bucks and it's the one most go with.
Scroll down to transmissions. http://www.madenterprise.com/catalog/F150.asp
He also sells an installation kit for the blower intake assembly off the Lightning.(for the conversion). http://www.madenterprise.com/catalog/scparts.htm
