Blower Porting

Hey everyone! I am contemplating whether or not to port my i/c roush supercharger. I have heard mixed reviews. It seems that everyone agrees that you will definately pick up #'s on the dyno but i've heard from a few sources that "real world" (actually down the track) gains are little to nothing and even possibly negative. If anyone has any feedback and experience on this topic it would be appriciated.
P.S. I'd really like to know if anyone saw lower times due to a blower port.

i had mine ported orginal time was 14.2 with tunes and a pulley and tires were 285/70/17. put on long tube headers hiflow cats and port and went 14.5 on aftermarket wheels and tires 305-70-17 those mud tires are about 3 inches wider so i had alot more weight to get up and go and they almost spun to the 60ft i have new tunes now and a valve body want to put the little tires on and try to break into a 13's,

so to anwser your question did it help i say the blower is louder and you have alot more power on the higer rpm's, as far as faster i cant really say cause my two runs one was on a cool day the other on a hot day with bigger tires.
but i can beat up on mustangs

Your top end speeds should tell the tale on whether you're making more power. What were they? Heat and weight could have an effect on trap speed, but they claim 30 hp with the port. Considering you added headers too, it would still seem that your trap speed would have been higher in spite of bigger tires and heat.

With the mixed reviews, I've decided to just pulley-up another 2 psi (10 total) and retune....it's much cheaper and should yield positive results.

I got the port done on mine and after I did I drove to Troyer and was retuned on the dyno so I got the most out of the port I have a best time of 13.6 @ 100 in the 1/4 I feel the port is a great mod
