Nope I'm 2 wheel. I didn't launch it on my 13.6 run. When I tried to launch it on the second one, thats when the shenanigans happened. I just placed my order with thrashshafts.com. Hopefully I'll have it by next week.
sure did. I was talking to Craig at thrashshafts and he was telling my about how crappy the stock drive shafts are. Ford must have got a deal on them because they sure are POS's. I have a question guys, should I take off my running boards? I'm really thinking about it.
Ha and btw, look for the HOW TO article on replacing your drive shaft I write up next week.

Well for one, they are only there for looks. I don't need them to get into my truck and I want to put some side skirts on. And they weigh about 60 pounds. I gotta do something to help out the power to weight ratio. My truck weighed in at 5845 at the track with me and a half tank of gas in it. I just took them off about 5 minutes ago. I like the change.
My screw with me and a little more than half a tank weighed in right at 5800 when I went to the track. I figured the super cab was a little lighter but then again my wifes truck is 6" longer than mine.
I love sleepers, it's so worth it when they WTF just happened why can't I pass that truck
When I fist had the turbo installed on my truck I was towing a twin axle 21 foot trailer for tractors and other large thingies on the highway. A civic si didn't know what to think when he heard my blow off and tried to take off on me. When I passed him about 10 seconds later and he couldn't catch up I think he went home and rethought his life.
Fatherford,
I spoke to Brent @ www.driveshaftspecialist.com and he quoted me $630 (with the heavy duty yokes) plus shipping for their 5" heavy duty aluminum DS. He said he wouldn't build a 1 piece steel DS cause it's too long and would bounce around like a rubber band when spun fast. He told me he's building these 5" aluminum DS's for the big power diesel guys running 1200+ tq and hasn't heard any problems from them yet. I'll be buying one soon... I put a dent in mine from the crossmember when I had wheel hop issues.
