The Whipple is bigger than my Mag thus it has the potential to make more power....
The Key word is potential and to reach that potential, you will need additional mods.
So more money on top of what you spent for the initial kit...

Whipple's are twin-screw superchargers. Inhearantly more efficient that the 5th Gen Eaton roots-type superchargers used in OEM and many aftermarket kits. The roots-type respond a little better in the lower rpm ranges, the screw-types maintain efficiency at higher pressure ratios. Magna also carries the 6th Gen Eaton TVS superchargers. Vastly improved over the older 5th gens and are at least as, if not more, capable than Whipple/Kenne Bell superchargers.

Whipple is a great kit, but if you want to upgrade to more power, youll need injectors and some other stuff thats not included in the kit.

However, since I dropped 5 grand on a supercharger, whats 400 on injectors?

{edit: for false information drew corrected me on}

Does the Whipple require any wire splicing/extending? I was looking at the installation for a Magnacharger and noticed some wires have to be extended. I don't like the idea of cutting or extending wires. Is the Whipple the same?

With just about all the positive displacement kits, some wires will need to be cut and extended.

Wiring isn't as hard as you might think.

The whipple will need the some wiring done, for the electic waterpump and on mine I dont remember if it was the throttle position sensor, or the electronic throttle control but I had to extend one of them. Id have to look on my truck to see again.

Basically though, you cant mess it up, its very easy and color oriented.

I cant speak for the magna but I would guess itd be the same deal. Both kits wouldnt be terribly hard to install for someone with some mechanic abilities. I know the instructions werent the best with the whipple, but I could still figure them out.
