boost question

lets say you are safe to run 10lbs and you pulley for that..now down the road you add headers, hiflows, xpipe etc. now you check your boost and its at say 7.5 because of how it is flowing now. can you up the pulleys so that you are pushing 10lbs again?

well 10lbs seems a bit much if you dont have a built eng....or redone the bottom end...but ya ..you can up the boost...but really you probably should be making the same or more HP at that boost,,with your add ons

the boost isnt making power its just a measurement... the extra flow of air is creating the power therefore you should still be making the same power.

BTW 10 PSI is kinda much theres a few over that with the stock block but a safe bet would be 6-8 PSI.

Yes. You can up the pully configuration to get back to 10 lbs... but without a built engine, you're living on borrowed time.

If you have headers and a full exhaust with 10lbs of pressure, your engine should be making well over 500 FWHP... and it's just a ticking time bomb..

But with a rock solid tune, it could live a LONG time without problems.
