Pyrometer?

Pyrometer?

The F250 I recently bought came with 2 aftermarket gauges....ones a turbo boost (i can figure that one out thanks lol) but there other ones a pyrometer or something with the word pyro in it I can't remember and I was just driving it like 2 mins ago lol....anyway what the heck is that?

It's a very good instrument for monitoring the health of your engine. You need to find out the safe operating range and the unsafe operating range. Mike T at TP could help you out with it. I also got one for my truck.

Its good for a turbo system to know the exhaust temps. NEVER shut off a truck where the temps are over 400, wait till they cool down or youll kill your turbo. Unless its watercooled.
