Cool This Would Be A Good Deal For Someone........

HI!... Just let you know, I do not own this or know the guy that is selling it.

I just happen to see it on a board I visit. I thought it would be a good deal for someone looking to upgrade to a LIGHTNING SC'er set-up.

i know, lol... i have followed closely your (built's) and klitch's builds. what kind of power is the stock block good to? how much can i squeeze out of the stock internals before needing to upgrade? i know i will have to strengthen the transmission, (4R70W) will a shift kit be enough, or do i need tear the transmission apart and build it stronger? i am not looking to beat it to the point to where it's fukced and i have to rebuild it then. i also cannot afford converting a 4R100 to 4WD. turning 35'' AT's, I know i probably should regear as well, probably to 4.56's.
if it makes things easier to explain, i am doing this to go FAST, and punch it from the stoplight. what things do i need to consider here that i am not currently looking at?

The 4r70w will definitely be your weak point!
Build it!

phil6608, just out of curiosity, did you convert your 4R100 transmission to 4WD, or did you just forgo 4WD altogether? i'm not looking to go that route, was just wondering...

I took out 4X4 all-together when I had a 4R70W.
After going through 3 or 4 BUILT 4R70Ws. I decided it would save me money to convert to the 4R100.

I've been running 14+psi through the OEM L block and my rebuild 4R70W for well over 45K miles, (since 04) and she's still spinning the 38X15.50R20 Toyo's. It can be built to handle it. Mustangs run the 4R70W and can pull the front wheels up. Is it as good as the 4R100, no, but it works.

built I've been keeping up with yours and klitch's builds like minimonster17 and I think the real secret to these supercharger/ blower/ turbo conversions is to have a local tuner. It seems to me that these longdistant relationship tunes and lack of dyno really adds big problems that could be avoided with hands on.

To add to builts comment on the tune i found this article well worth reading on a supercharged 4.6 that got tuned and gained 70hp. Programmer/injectors/sparkplugs/a tuner

I'd agree. While I love my tuner having a local "GOOD" tuner would make things easier.
