Yea Its where you put the beer , oh you mean a ice box for the intake. Yeah, its easy, make a sheet metal box, run a some charge tubing through it and fill it up, dry ice works best, but they work great. I packed my intake with ice last time at the strip. IAT w/out Ice=114 F IAT w/ice=72 F, it makes a big difference.

or

it's a degas tank that alows you to add ice directly to the innercooler fluid and then drain it back out after each run to add more ice

whats not to get? the ice cools the air before it goes in, making it denser, more power n so on.

There's a couple of ways of doing this. If you are running an air-to-water intercooler setup then the ice-box is a tub that surrounds the reservoir for the intercooler fluid. For air-to-air setups it's worthless as chilling the charge piping makes little difference to the air temperature after it leaves the intercooler. Better off with nitrous, water/meth injection, or a spray bar for the IC. last version is where the fuel lines are coiled inside of a tub which is then filled with ice. Chills the fuel which aides which helps prevent knock slightly but is mostly to prevent vapor lock from boiling fuel. More of an issue with race fuels that pump gasoline though.

just out of curiosity, can you spray the heat exchanger with water or nitrous after a run on the strip?

Yes

Or you could just get a bottle,,put a hose on it and spray it after a pass.
Little less expensive that way...lol
