M90 Intercooler problem
M90 Intercooler problem
I think I might have a problem with the intercooler on my M90 Eaton supercharger. The pump seems to be working, but it doesn't appear the liquid is circulating when i take the cap off where you put the coolant in. Has anyone experienced a problem like this before? Any ideas or suggestions are greatly welcome.

I don't-know where you live but in cold weather below about 40 degrees I have noticed the coolant does not visibly move in the return bottle, although if you remove a hose there is diminished flow. Once the system warms up after a couple boosted runs or when the weather worms the flow will return. I believe it is do to the higher viscosity of the mix in the cold through the small passages.
There is a plug on the right side of the intercooler pump. I notice I have a red wire going into it and I have a black wire that is just hanging down in the general area. Does anyone know for sure if both the red and the black wire should be connected to the pump? I put the wire up to the connection, but I didn't see any motion in the tank. It is around 65 degrees today where I live and I assume I should be seeing some swirling going on as soon as I take the cap off. I'm kinda out of ideas. What type of shops would be willing to look at something like this? Any ideas are greatly welcome!

So how do you know the pump is on??
You should have a ground wire and a positve wire hooked to the pump.
Got a test light???
How long have you had this set up?? I assume its a AED/Magnacharger kit??
Do you have a pressure switch hooked up to the positve wire on your pump?? If so your pump will only turn on under boost???
