Radar Detector, won't protect your transmission, but it will protect your backside...

thank you,

in one of my last post i mentioned how the transmission felt weird in drive but stopped.

it was making a shaking feeling.

it no longer does that, it idles great, infact its so smooth i can barely tell its running aside from hearing the exhaust :-)

Were you satisfied with PSI Motorsports? And where are they located? I'm looking to run a turbo system at the end of the summer on my 2003 4.6L V-8.

i ended up not going to psi motorsports, when i needed to get tuned they were in the process of moving to a new shop.

i made an appointment with fastlane off of 1960 west of 249 and im VERY satisfied with their work.

i brought the truck to them on a trailer, didnt run for crap. they made a base tune and loaded it up and had my truck running great after 1.5 hours.

Cool, I'll contact you. It will be a while because I can only put on so many hours at work during school. Summer will bring in the money I need to "invest" into my truck.

eh, i dont ever associate investments with modifying a truck/car

investments are usually with intentions of making money from it.

its not a waste.

but cant be an investment. but it sure is fun!

ever driven a turbocharged car/truck?

Yeah, investment was a joke. I've never driven a car with forced induction. I know it would be a great addition, and you sure like yours. Depending on the bank account, I might try a twin-turbo set-up. I need to study up more on all the different types. Series and parallel were in circuit diagrams last time I checked.

playing around in the truck i get about 13mpg, driving normal not seeing any boost i get about 18mpg.

driving normal making boost every so often i get 15mpg

overdue pics.

stock block, all stock internals.

thats the pipes under the truck, they come off the headers into a y pipe and back up to the engine bay, the pipe on the left is the pipe that goes to the muffler.
the great thing is i dont need an oil pump to pump oil back to the oil pan. gravity takes place for that with this setup.

You've got me thinkin now!

Is than an IC I see down there?

How does your oil feed work? Obviously you said the return is gravity. Is it pure oil cooled, or did you tap into the radiator too?

On these trucks, where do you run vacuum to? My 300 had vacuum lines all over the darn place.

What turbo did you end up running? I'm thinking a t3/t4 hybrid would work well on these trucks.
