well the plumbing for exhaust, intake, and intercooler wouldnt work but ive read alot on mustang owners swapping in 5.4s. they say it all bolts up. the only problem ive heard of is not having enough room. but i couldnt see that being a problem using the mustang turbo kit on a f150. im just looking for any input before i drop $750+ on a turbo kit that may or may not work.

the exhaust manifolds, turbo and waste gate/bov should work but you will have to get the rest custom plumbed

Unbelieveable, yet you are absolutely correct. How in this world can anyone sell a twin turbo kit new in the box for less than $1000? I know the mustangs are popular but are they selling that many kits? I dont know what the quality of the kits are but as always: Buyer Beware!!

I went looking for a turbo for my 07 f-150, it had the 4.6. The performance shop did not have a listing for one. I was looking at custom cutting and tacking pipe to get a fit etc... figured it was to much trouble and went out and bought a lightning. I should never had sold the 04 lightning.

260187978006 is the item number. its ended but it should still show up. there are alot of them on there but they are for 5.0 mustangs. is that what the current models are running in the GT's? but yea, buyer beware. if it sounds to good to be true it probably is. i may end up buying one and if it doesnt work ill box it up and put it back on e bay. i will post the results when i go through with it.

hold up buddy, the 5.0 (302)/5.8 (351w) use different heads and exhaust manifold bolt patterns than the 4.6 and 5.4 2 valve engines as far as I know.

see the price difference between the 4.6 mustang kits and the 5.0 mustang kits?

there might be a reason behind that, check your exhaust manifold bolt patterns/sizes before you buy a kit for 5.0 mustang and expext it to bolt onto a 4.6 or 5.4 modular engine

im pretty sure there are not any kits for the f150 in production.

there were a few lightning kits out there but everyone that bought the kit got ripped off and only used maybe 10-20% of the piping from the kit.

if you want a turbocharger setup you'll have to do it yourself or have a shop fabricate it for you.

A friend built my kit for my truck and by the end of this week it should be turbocharged. im hoping to be tuned by friday or saturday of this week.

as far as Pilot at Got-Pressure, are they still selling kits? those post are very old...

yes Pilot is still selling turbo kits he even installs them occasinaly, his kit is the best I have come across so far

the STS kit is also a good option for a turbo

there's a couple guys on here that are ebay/junkyard building thier own kits, but there's alot of custom work/fabbing involved
