Feh...I wouldn't put one of those kits on my truck if it was free.

I've seen plenty of Sierras with Maggies running much better times with much less hastle. Sorry but the further away the turbo is from the engine the less efficient it becomes. I know too many Silverado guys who've tossed away STS kits in favor of superchargers or putting a turbo in the engine bay.

Oh...and 5 minutes with a cordless impact wrench and that STS turbo is gone.

OK, now tell us what you really think!

I think the concept is pretty slick. But to get the air through an intercooler and to the engine would create huge losses. Right? I'm guessing twenty feet of pipe. And the oil lines? More pressure drop issues?

it is true that there is about 1psi drop due to the long tube, but on the other hand the long tube cools the incoming air pre-intercooler by 100 degrees giving about an added 50 hp, which outweighs the 1psi drop.

it could be worth it, the GMC on thier website really takes off

I bet with 12psi and a good intercooler the STS setup would make some good numbers
