Looking for More Mid Range Power

I have a 2003 F150 with a 4.6 and a M90 supercharger. I have added several other mods but I'm looking to added some midrange power. Here are my mods:

4:10 gears
Air Force 1 intake
Mangaflow catback system
M90 Eaton Supercharger
42lb Fuel Injectors
Troyer Tuned XCAL 2

How much would long tube headers and a off road pipe help me with mid-range power? I'm looking to get a little quicker.

Thanks,

Bixbystx

I have a custom crank pulley that I had made for my truck when I was running an M90. It would give you 1&1/2 to 2PSI more!

From: missing Texas...
look into a bigger throttle body (75mm) and a 90mm MAF

*edit* I'd also upgrade the heat exchanger if that's possible

Phil.........I'm currently running about 9 pounds of boost with my M90 with the smaller pulley I added. Do you think I would run into and other problems with adding this custom pulley? Would I need a pulley puller to get the pulley off? How much of a job is it? I assume it wouldn't be too bad at all.

Thanks,

Bixbystx

Sorry,,did not change the pulley myself!
I was running a + 4# pulley up top with the crank pulley and was seeing 10&1/2 PSI on my gauge!
I had 42# injectors and 90mm L mas air + a water/meth kit.
As long as your tune is good,,you should have no problem running 10.5 #s on your motor!

I'm confused..

bixbystx, based on some of your earlier threads, you have an Allen Supercharger which only puts out 6lbs of boost stock. You then added a pulley that increased that to 9lbs.

phil6608 mentioned that he had a custom pulley built that added 1.5 - 2lbs of boost.

I didn't see where it was mentioned that the pulley would increase boost above the already increased 3lbs.

phil6608, is this the case?

I've also heard that these Allen kits can't go that high without heat-soaking.

My Allen kit is only producing about 4lbs of boost right now. I believe that's because I added cams and had the heads ported. I'm definitely interested in increasing the boost too, but I have a few other issues that need to be ironed out first.

Did you put blower-specific cams in there?
If not, they may have too much overlap...and there goes your boost.

The Allen kit comes with 5 PSI stock! 5 + 4 upper + 1.5 to 2 crank = 10&1/2 to 11 PSI

I think he's saying that the ported heads have lowered the back pressure. I think that a 1 psi loss on the gauge would be possible.

It sounds like going from 5 to 10+ psi without any upgrades in boost cooling may be just making a heater.

ONELOWF, you understood correctly. Thanks.

Phil6608, the Allen kit is on the same serpentine belt with all other engine components. I understand changing the pulley on the supercharger itself, but what other pulley are you changing that's not affecting the water pump, alternator, A/C, etc?

I'm a dumb ***, not a smart ***. Please be patient with my ignorance.
