5L supercharged >:D performance help needed

kk i just got my 92 ford f150

with a 5L

and its WAY to gutless i need more power (ie passing and well passing )

and since i do some offroading would a supercharger be the way to go?

if not any other suggestions for more power out of the 5L?

(ill be looking into probably next summer to be doing the work needed so if it costs alot i have time to save)

i would like not to swap in a bigger motor (351 W for instance)

so what would i be looking at to do?

could i throw a charger on and run low 6 psi boost? (my engine is rebuilt and has 300 000 km on it....)

or would a rebuild with forge internals be the answer?

what other power upgrades are there for a decent increase?

thanks for the help!

Not to sound like a jerk, but have you really even attempted to look around for performance parts?

There's more hop-up parts for the 302 than any just about any engine ever made short of a small-block Chevy

Googling "302 ford performance" gave me 1.9 million hits...

there you go a bolt on supercharger, just need to change a couple things and you'd be set to go

Offroading with a supercharger shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure everything is tight and do routine checks. Your main concern should be keeping the air filter clean.

I would swap to a 351 first, then supercharge. IMO

I would go with the Kenne Bell for offroading since you will get full boost at 1800-2000rpm. I have installed a few on Mustangs and they are great. They are not the cheapest but they are top notch. They make a 302 into a torque monster...no lie.
