Drive'ability issue with Whipple and 60#hr injectors
Hi all, It's been a long time,,,
I'm currently having major drive'ability issues with my Whipple and 60lb-hr injectors (and possibly other stuff).
I'm looking for folks that have similar set-ups and are using SCT programs.
Although my catch code will be different, I'm more interested in comparing values.
If you have a non-lighting equipped with a Whipple and 60#-hr injectors (and a BA-2400 MAF would be good) and are using SCT software, could you please PM me and possible pass along your program so I can see what's wrong in my program.
Thanks

PS: I did make 453HP and 534 ft-lb torque at 16psi on 91 octane gas on the dyno, but it drives like crap everywhere else..:-(

See signature; it made grade power on the dyno, but drive'ability sucks.
I'll take a program..:-)

You shoud be over 500RWHP/600RWTQ , a lot of guys here with heavy 4X4 F-150s are making over 400RWHP with 10PSI only.
Have your truck tuned by a real good tuner and you will make a lot more power than that.
Well, one of my drive'ability issues was due to a spark plug with a gap of about 0.070" when it should have been 0.032"
The side terminal was sort of sticking up at an 18-20 degree angle. It would fire and stay lit as long as I wasn't on the throttle too hard.
I changed all the plugs and the "fluttering" (it was miss-firing) is gone.
I'm sure that was affecting my power as well. I think I made 450 HP, 540 torque on only 7 cylinders!!
I'm planning to drop the boost from 16psi to 14psi and add more timing.
I've noticed that additional timing drastically improves throttle response in all RPM ranges.
I don't want to have to run octane boost, so I won't be going too aggressive on the timing.

did you have it dyno tuned?????
