was going to intercooler
was going to intercooler
i have the roush s/c non-intercooler style but the call for more hp was to much for me to take so i laid down $2500 for the intercooler up grade i decited to save some money and do the install my self this time. got it all taken apart sat night and what do i find under the intake but water a lot of water in the valley between the heads the truck never has never ran hot but it looks like it had water in it for some time had a ring where the top of the water was about 3 to 4 inches deep a lot of rust cant tell where its coming from so ill be calling the tow truck just hope the extend warranty will fix it. theres this pipe that comes from the back of the engine into the front of the block behind the alternator it could be leaking but cant tell for sure anybody got any ideas as to where could be coming from? could be head gasket i checked the oil and no water in there.
I'll bet that it came from driving in the rain and just collected there.
I installed my blower yesterday and some of the solid metal intercooler pipes had a hole in it..
.. and it leaked all down into the valley. The valley holds alot of water.
Had you ever heard any rushing water sounds when you left your driveway?
I knew I had the leak when I test drove mine. I could hear the water sloshing in the valley.

it was water with antifreeze its definitely got a leak some where could be a head gasket or that pipe i think it goes to the heater core. i spoke to someone from roush yesterday he said it could be an o-ring on that pipe he had heard of it leaking before. no i never did hear any water sloshing.
Good luck finding the leak. You could take an air hose and blow air into the end of the heater core tube and see if you notice anything. Just a thought.
Thats how I found the leak in my intercooler pipe. No air hose, but I filled the intercoller with water, plugged one end and blew into the other end.... noticed the leak real fast. Had a local muffler shop weld up the hole. But the heater core hose is a little different.
I'd hope you don't have a leaky head gasket. You'd surely notice other symptoms.
From what you've said, internet diagnosis would point toward that heater core tube area.
