whipple issues
Got mine done, still don't spin tires too, but smokes Lightenings
I don't spin tires either, but it might be do to the tune I have done to it. Check my sig for my mods. Still has a lot of room to go with 11:1 A/F Ratio.
i dont know if its that i exspected to much but for 5500 i exspected more. i put this thing on and my truck is a tad faster but i seems to be nothing but a noise maker to me. i was told the the throttle body wiring that had to be spliced and made longer may not be conecting corectly. if it is not then the computer will power down the truck for safty (this is coming from whipple). like i said my truck feels slightly faster but to me it just makes the noise and not the power. i have not had a custome tune yet i only have the ford racing tune whipple provides. any one got any video of ther truck after the whipple. i would like to see if it is just me. let me put it this way my truck is at a dead stop i smash the gas and the freking tires just wont spin at all it jsut dose not seem right to me. any opinions.
what gears do you have?
stock 3.55 gears. I can spin my 285/60/18 KDW2's which are traction rated at 300 AA A. Very very easy to spin from a dead stop. At 10mph I can chirp them but not at all like my other tires I had when I last went to the track. I don't have a whole lot done to the truck yet. A lot is stock other then exhaust and Whipple. I'm trying to find some rims/tires that will get me some traction
Personally I cant stand Toyo Proxes, just personal prefrence. However with that said, it must all be in the tuning, I ran a stock 8PSI Roush Nitemare and he had zero traction problems from about 20mph with his tires spinning.
