Question lightning swap

on my 2002 supercrew with the lightning swap i have a couple questions,1st i don't drive it very hard and i was wondering about carbon build up on the tops of the pistons, back in the old days we got rid of it with a little water or top oil through the intake but i don't know about the inner cooler.2 i installed after market valve covers on it with out baffles{not thinking]now i get oil into the intake, seems to be from the drivers side mostly, has any one used some kind of catch can or septerator?thanks

Yea, use an oil seperator. Carbon buildup will not be a problem

Agreed! Look into L&S seperator for a superior product but it comes at a price. Otherwise just use the standard oil seperator to keep most out.
