Blown reliability
Blown reliability
Probably a worn out subject... but here it goes: whatīs the life expectancy of a blown system considering a correct set up? what goes first, the tranny? I have read some people getting as many as 100.000 miles out of a supercharged setup. What are your experiences on this? I know it depends on driving style, tow frequency, etc... but just an average mileage to know what to expect.
Thanks...
Thanks...
There are guys on this site with over 200K miles on their supercharged trucks.
I didn't put mine on until my truck had 100K miles.
These trucks seem to be pretty stout...within reason and with a quality installation & tune.

A properly equipped truck converted to a Lightning ot Harley setup at 10-12 psi will do the same with a safe tune.
Read the other two active threads on this same subject.
Thanks for the input guys, it really eases my mind as I already put 18.000 miles on my supercharged 5.4 . My main concern is the tranny since it seems to get the worst part of it. I have a Factory tech plate on the way (recommended on this forum) and an extra trans oil cooler ot help the transmission a bit.
I canīt even think of going back to naturally aspirated...
