Eaton Supercharger for 1997 F150... need help.

I have a 1997 F150 with a 5.4 V8. Last night a friend of mine’s brother gave me his old Eaton supercharge off of his Lightening. (Cool, huh!) Anyway…I am not all that familiar with superchargers, other than knowing that they boost performance. The guy said that it should just bolt right onto my 5.4, with no problems.

Now, my question is this: What will I need to do to install the supercharger to my truck? Gaskets? Belts? Plug upgrade? Any other things I’m not aware of that will need to be “upgraded” for this to work?

Thanks for helping me on this… I know it’s a complete noob question, but I want to make sure that I’m not harming my truck- as it is my pride and joy.

Thank guys!
Joel

If you only have the blower your going to need lots and lots of other parts.

Phil I think that link is to swap the entire engine.

I don't know if Mad's kit will allow for a Lightning blower on a 97, but it's worth asking:

No it will not work on non pi heads. You could upgrade heads, and different pistons to lower the compression. PI heads will bump you to 10.5/1
