Harley or Lightning???

Im looking at supercharging my truck, 2001 5.4, which super charger swap would you guys reccomend? Harley or Lightning?? What is the difference between the two? FYI i have about 130,000 miles on the motor and trans. Also a list of additional parts I will need would help me, ill be installing it myself. the only reason im doing a factory supercharger is the price. THANKS!!

They are the same.Harley has a bigger pulley then the L so it puts out less boost then the L stock. If you want more just swap the pulley.
If you get a kit off ebay it has most of what you need. But you'll need this kit from mike at http://www.madenterprise.com/scparts.htm and a chip and tune.

Just did same on my 2003 F150.

You can find new HD assemblies on ebay. These are complete. If you try to buy individual parts, you will be searching for life. MAD can help with all the other ancillary parts. Also, NHTOC and NLOC sites can provide a source for things like used intercoolers, lower pulleys, air boxes. If you want to know how mine went, PM.

And we say how sweet that Eaton whine is

Since you have to buy a lower pulley for either, go big on bottom. Allows more flex on top end and if you do go smaller on top will help with belt slipageI 'm running 9 in, stock is 7.5 in.

You guys and your clean factory-look installs make me sick

I like my procharger, but it looks a bit like a Pep Boys installation job compared to the L/HD blowers

Sorry guys but this is what you call a clean install....

All the Best for The New Year 2007

If any of you UK owners want a complete Eaton blower from an 03 motor
I have one in first class condition - less than 1000 miles on it and the rotors are like new.
