What do you consider to be cheap? I've only got about 7Gs into my S/C upgrade. Compared to alot of others on this site, that is cheap. You could try to buy everything used, hope you get all the parts, and hope you're buying from an honest person. You will not have any warranty, so if something breaks that will cost you more than if you bought it new. Then there's the tune, try to go cheap on that and you'll really pay for it. Seems like every time I try to save a little $$ on something it usually comes around and bites me in the bum. I bought my Procharger brand new with a 3 yr. warranty. Others have paid less but at least I have peice of mind.

Just keep reading here in the forums for a while before you try to make any decisions. Here's one for starters:https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=256019
Good Luck.

THis link:

shows you the cheaper entry route, and doens't require a custom tune either when used with the FMU. I use a powerdyne unit on mine, and have never had any issues out of it.
